A Formal Model of Forth Control Words in the Pi-Calculus - and its animation in Pict

چکیده
In this paper we develop a formal model of aspects of the Forth programming language. We describe the operation of the Forth compiler as it translates Forth control words, dealing in particular with the interpretation of immediate words during compilation. Our goal here is to provide a basis for the study of safety properties of embedded systems, many of which are constructed using Forth or Forth-like languages. To this end we construct a model of the Forth compiler in the π-calculus, and have simulated its execution by animating this model using the Pict programming language. 1School of Computer Applications, Dublin City University

In this paper, a new broadcast encryption scheme is presented based on threshold secret sharing and secure multiparty computation. This scheme is maintained to be dynamic in that a broadcaster can broadcast a message to any of the dynamic groups of users in the system and it is also fair in the sense that no cheater is able to gain an unfair advantage over other users. Another important feature...

The -calculus o ers an attractive basis for concurrent programming. It is small, elegant, and well studied, and supports (via simple encodings) a wide range of high-level constructs including data structures, higher-order functional programming, concurrent control structures, and objects. Moreover, familiar type systems for the -calculus have direct counterparts in the -calculus, yielding stron...
متن کاملExplicit Fusions: Theory and Implementation
This work describes a concurrent, distributed abstract machine for the pi calculus. Its primary audience are researchers in the field of concurrency. The secondary audience are working programmers looking for a better way to write interactive programs. This audience need only read Chapters 1 (an overview) and 5 (the implementation). I hope that these chapters might prove appealing to students w...
متن کاملModelling Objects in PICT
For the development of present-day applications, programming languages supporting high order abstractions are needed. These high order abstractions are called components. Since most of the currently available programming languages and systems fail to provide sufficient support for specifying and implementing components, we are developing a new language suitable for software composition. It is n...
